Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative (CSEC), District 930, was established in 1976 to complement the educational services offered by the local school districts in Carver and Scott counties and surrounding communities.
CSEC realized that not all students would make it in a traditional educational setting, and many would need an alternative approach to succeed. CSEC championed the vision that all people should have an opportunity to learn and be prepared for a future.
What started primarily as a vocational technical school has now expanded to include a comprehensive array of customized programs that include:
- Area Learning Centers
- Adult Education services
- Career and Technical Education
- Special Education services from birth to age 22
- Care and Treatment collaborative programs
The CSEC continues its legacy of providing unique, innovative, and customized education to both youth and adults, serving over 10,000 individuals annually.
The unique and vital educational services and programs of the Carver-Scott Educational Cooperative provide opportunity and hope for people to overcome barriers and achieve a quality life through education.
